About

Human Centered Design is a natural progression for Kate - it combines her innate curiosity in human behavior, desire to solve problems and design interest.

Kate has always worked in the experience space -analyzing human habits, motivations and interests to market to consumers.

Before moving into UX/UI, Kate started her career in Media Strategy/Buying for General Motors and P&G. She developed her ability to empathize with consumers, clients and teammates and executed strategic media plans.

To broaden her brand experience and hone her client-facing presentation skills, Kate moved into Print and Digital Advertising Sales, working on brands that provide smart solutions to everyday challenges - such as Real Simple, Cosmopolitan, Cooking Light and EatingWell. She consistently broke new business through her ability to synthesize first and third party data into compelling ideas in order to achieve individual brand KPI's. Key accounts included Nestle, Unilever, Target, PepsiCo., Novartis, L'Oréal, Mars, Prudential, Tiffany & Co., Kimberly-Clark and Apple. She was equally impactful internally as a liaison between editorial and marketing to design go-to-market branding.

Kate is currently based in NYC working at Booz Allen Hamilton developing the HCD practice and working on VA product and technology transformation.

When not designing, she seeks experiences to develop new perspectives - through food, travel and culture.
